Is your career a noun or a verb?

CAREER

n. an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life, usually with opportunities for progress.

CAREER

v. move swiftly and in an uncontrolled way in a specified (or unspecified) direction.

Making a career change can be one of the most daunting decisions you make in your life.

Accepting that you have either made a mistake in your career choice or that the rug has been pulled out from under what you thought was a safe career path is a difficult realisation to come to.

Fortify's approach to career transition is highly structured and the approach that we take will be determined by your needs. A 'one size fits all' method will not pay dividends in what is one of the most crucial decisions you will ever make. Three maxims underpin our approach to career management:

Get short-listed.

Chance favours the prepared mind.

Remember at the end of the day - it's only a job.

So, whether the change is as a result of a redundancy, a significant drop in your job satisfaction or a dramatic change in your sector, give us a call; we will be happy to listen to your circumstances and discuss your needs for your future career in total confidence.

We did some pieces about this in the Irish Independent, for salesjobs.ie, on Q102 and also contributed to The Sunday Times on the subject of career transition. Also a useful piece on career planning from recruitireland.com
