Your
CV must be as tightly-written as an award-winning
30 second TV advertisement, because 30 seconds
may be all that you get ...
Many
people forget that the written application is
the only aspect of the job hunting process which
you totally control.
That
is worth repeating - the only aspect which
YOU totally control.
Fully
exercise that control. Think carefully about every
word you include or omit.
If
you only had 30 seconds and were spending thousands
of euros to buy TV airtime [novel
approach!] to sell yourself, think how
carefully you would choose every word.
So,
with that in mind, is your Curriculum Vitae:
SUCCEEDING?
Are
you getting invited to interviews? That's it.
End of story. That's all your CV is designed to
do.
If
you feel that you are well-matched to the qualifications
and experience of the postions to which you have
been applying, but are not getting called to interview,
then your CV is simply not doing its job for you.
Your
problem may be one of the items listed below.

writing, we also have some thoughts you might

letters and submitting an application
form.

here's an extract
from Where's My Oasis? that discusses
many
of the mistakes we see people making at the written
stage.
